Introduce your elementary art students to the art technique weaving with this one-day reverse weaving project. Designed for first-grade art students but perfect up to 3rd grade, teach your students about the art of weaving by reverse weaving using burlap.

Students are introduced to artwork by textile artist, Gunta Stolzl, before removing strings from the weft of the burlap and playing with individual strings to create an interesting design. This weaving art lesson is the prefect intro into fiber arts because it is quick, simple, and can be completed in one day.
