This elementary art texture project is a perfect way to start the year. Looking for ideas to teach the elements of art line, space, and texture in your elementary art classes? This pack is specifically designed for 2nd graders and older to review and teach the elements of art line, space, and texture.
This elementary art texture project reviews and introduces students to these elements with a two to three-day activity. Students fill space with tracing of their hands. Next, they add lines to create implied texture designs in the fingers, palms, and arms. Finally, they color in the positive space only to create a fun, bright-colored art project.
Show still images of the activity steps while you demonstrate to appeal to a wide variety of learners. Activity guides, space examples, and more are included.
