This principles of design proportion and scale worksheet includes information on the front and activities on the back. Designed for elementary art students, but great for students up to early high school art.

This worksheet covers the principle of design, proportion and scale. It is perfect for elementary art, middle school art, or high school art students. A worksheet designed for elementary art students is included and a more in-depth version for middle and high school students is included.

The front of the worksheet includes information on:

  • Altered proportion
  • Standard proportion
  • Miniature proportion
  • Monumental proportion.
  • As well as examples of: facial proportion

The back of the worksheet tests the students' understanding of the information on the front by asking them to create their own examples of using proportion and acale in their artwork. In addition to a printable worksheet, this handout also has a Google Slide version, easy to implement in your Google Classroom for digital learning. A second back version of the worksheet is included for more freedom and choice in an activity.

A printable poster version of the simplified front is also included!
