Description
Looking for ideas to introduce and review the elements of art line, shape, color, texture, and the principles of design contrast and pattern in your elementary art classes? This one to two day art project is specifically designed for 3rd graders and older to review and teach the elements and principles through a magazine weaving project.
Students are introduced to abstract art, collage, and weaving techniques with this simple but fun art project. Students select two magazine images to weave together paying attention to the lines, shapes, colors, and textures in the two images making sure they contrast well to help emphasize the pattern the magazine weaving creates.
Show still images of the activity steps while you demonstrate to appeal to a wide variety of learners. A ready to go demo video is also included in addition to an activity guide, fast finisher, and more.
