$12.00
This Adobe Animate project is the perfect introduction to animation for advanced middle school or high school art and design students. Get everything you need to teach!
Elevate your high school art instruction and incorporate digital drawing and animation into your design curriculum by teaching animation with this Adobe Animate project. Access to Adobe Animate or Creative Cloud subscription is required.
In an Introduction to Design or Media Art course, learning program basics is an essential part. This includes 2 Adobe Animate activities that introduce students to basic tools and functions in Animate as well as tasking them with a larger project, animating a character.
The project is open-ended, allowing students to develop the character of their choice. They are pushed to think about the story, movements, and actions of the character they designed.
This lesson plan pack is extremely comprehensive. Even if you have zero experience with animation or Adobe Animate, you can learn along with the students with the resources included. Step-by-step instructions to learn program basics and an overview of the tools and menus are included.
All in all this Adobe Animate project pack has:
- Lesson Plan (with big idea, national standards, vocabulary, step-by-step instructions, and more)
- 2 PowerPoints to introduce concepts
- Animate animation activity walkthrough
- Research activity
- Animation brainstorm activity
- Project guide to walk students through the steps to animate their character using Adobe Animate
- In-progres and final critique reflections
- Critique activity
